Lake Windermere Lake District National Park
Lake Windermere Lake District National Park ? Are we there yet? claims my son three years on the back of the machine. I? Retuing to the lake for the first time since my school trip to Patterdale in the early eighties. I? M curious as to what I can remember, after all these years, however, the sands of time and the abundance of alcohol play havoc with the old gray. I? It decided on our next appointment with the lakes will be based in Windermere, the center of the region. As the basis for this? S ideally situated for excursions to the Lake District National Park, and to explore a local nobleman himself. We? Back in Flookburgh parked caravan park in the southe Lake District, and although pleasant, the daily half-hour's drive Windermere grow a little 'boring. We park almost a mile below the major cities to explore the beautiful Bowness-on-Windermere. Rental boats are in abundance, and although the temptation, my stomach asking for food. Central to the life here, the bar-restaurant excels beyond the river and offers a magnificent view from the top landing, and the food we consume. The upper part is built directly on the lake and gives the feeling of being one with the water. The image remained seated long after the lunch in the lake passes through the fog and the mountains, the horizon extends. Ambleside that deserves a visit, an attractive village on the north shore of Lake Windermere. Election jouey by boat, a very fascinating jouey of about thirty minutes from the shores of Bowness-on-Windermere. Span mountains dominate the horizon and the trees as sentinels, accompanied on either side of the lake, creating an environment away from city life. Once, while birds in general, the search for food for the passengers, the fish and tu to drawing relatively free of pollution flows. Small pockets of people scattered along the banks of the river, which consumes and absorb the atmosphere relaxed lunch on the day of idles. Life is lived at a different pace here, I have something very envy, having grown up in a big city. Even the wildlife seems more relaxed, more calm, has a covenant with humanity, far from the bustle of high, frenetic city.
