The trip to the Philippines archipelago Popular

The trip to the Philippines archipelago Popular Somewhere in the south-east Asia between the Philippine Sea and the East China Sea, east of Vietnam, Taiwan and South, just north of Indonesia, is much neglected but historically and ecologically prized archipelago known as the Philippines. This sub-group of 7107 islands, is the perfect tropical escape with just enough of colonial culture, the intrigue and undulating urban energy to go. Despite some 'turbulent recent history, the Philippines has reached a level of stability with no time better than now for the travel wonders of the island nation. The colonial legacy, heritage The first encounter with the west of the Philippines took place in Spain, Ferdinand Magellan arrived in 1521, the opening of more than 300 years of Spanish colonization. A huge amount of people in the Philippines today is a fraction of Spanish, although a negligible number of people who are completely in Spanish. The United States has more than colonization in 1899 until the Japanese invasion of the strategic islands during the Second World War. After the defeat of Japan, the Philippines received its independence in 1946. Cultural and military influence of the United States still permeates the culture across the island, even though the last U.S. military base was finally closed. Of human origin in the region began about thirty years ago, when thousands of people crossed into force land bridges from Asia. Malaysian and Indonesian settlers joined the fray a few thousand years later, to create an interesting mix of semi-indigenous cultures are still present today in the Philippines. The direct descendants of early settlers living in the northe province of Zambales. A Pocketful of Paradise The nation is divided into three major regions, each with its own platform including metropolitan points of interest. Luzon in the north is the region most populated, with large capital as the main destination of Manila. Banks travels to the north, where spectacular rice terraces have been dug along the hillside by Ifugao tribes over 2000 years. Also, do not miss the true beauty of isolation Hundred Islands National Park, in May, where you will find a beach to you all, because there are literally hundreds of choices. The central region of Visayas island is known for the clusters and the island of Boracay White Beach and the surrounding areas and the use of water activities. Be sure to explore the island, the fewer people, but also white and turquoise beaches. The southe region of Mindanao, is home to Davao, the largest city in the world by land, and the impressive Mount Apo, the highest mountain in the Philippines. Enjoy an exciting rafting trip on Cagayan de Oro or retu to the basic life of the Philippines in the Highlands where Tiruray distance of Lake Sebu are T'boli peacefully inhabited by tribes. As Good As nearly 40,000 kilometers of coastline, like a fantasy landscape of tropical greenery and cities of the world-class offering the cuisine of world-class lifestyle, it is difficult to imagine that this puddle jumping in the South-East Asia remains a secret for long. See for yourself why the Philippines is one of the last jewels of biodiversity and indigenous culture in growth in this region of the world!

St Ives town Canvas

St Ives town Canvas One of my favorite places in the United Kingdom is the extreme south-west of the country is between the myths and legends of Cowall past. St Ives is a beautiful port city, largely untouched market. Resting on the northe tip of the A3074 (off the A30), in West Cowall, St Ives is not easily accessible for most of the country, but the effort is worthwhile. A multitude of paths and narrow cobbled streets to remember past times and offer a striking contrast to mode urban planning. Most of St Ives is the old school, a retu to the past of a life without complications. The artists seem to be in every coer, from excellent natural light and fresh wind of 'Atlantic air pollution. Parking is at a premium in St Ives during the summer season and so? S recommended that you arrive as soon as possible during the day. A good alteative is to park at Lelant and take the train. It runs in a half-hour during peak season and is a reasonable price. The short ten-minute jouey takes the coastal road, part of which feels as if it were directly in water. The trip is worth the view alone, with a magnificent view over the bay of St Ives, from the city, which extends to all Godrevy Point. However, some of the younger passengers can get a little 'uneasy. ? Sit down! orders of an angry mother whose children scurry in a crowded carriage. The smell of suncream exudes rumoroso transport hikers on how to collect them dry and ready for landing spades. The station is at the top of the road, about five to ten minute walk to the waterfront. The narrow streets can get very congested as pedestrians and vehicles to fight the same space. Buyers are often forced to move from side to pass the traffic. The keeping of cobbled streets are tempted home to some shops, which are relatively free of the typical souvenir garbage at sea. Art galleries are everywhere, many local people working display from St Ives and around the beautiful coast. The small shops of local artisans display? S intricate work can sometimes be seen working on his next masterpiece. As the road winds along the coast, the door opened suddenly in front of you. The smell of salty sea breeze kicked in the face, the cry of gulls on the pier echo. Delicious flavors of ice cream, but beware of the seagulls. My son had once stolen his sharply from its scope and devoured by a hungry bird!

Athens A Walk On The Wild Side

Athens A Walk On The Wild Side Athens is known for its archaeological sites and history. If you want a break from history, Athens has much more to offer travelers. Atene you? Ve seen the Acropolis you? Ve to the museums and you? Once again try to determine whether it's time to head for the islands. Wait! You? Re lacking much of the charm of mode Athens. This is a puzzle with many historically important city. Guides tend to lead to any place with a potential for historical significance, but leave any mention of the mode attractions of the city. In the case of Athens, servile to your tour guide is a bad choice, and you? Ll worse for them. Like every city, there are two good ways to see the charm of Athens today. The first is simply to walk. The second is to befriend some local residents and make them see the city. In any case, you? Ll do fine in Athens. The charm of Athens is in the chaos of daily life on the streets. The city and residents radiate energy and character. When you get off the tourist trail you? Find neighborhoods with small cafes, not tourists. This is where the action is true in Athens. Just plop in a café and watch people. A good place particularly in the Plaka district. A quarter of the nineteenth century, Plaka is a mixture of greek and turkish influences. From Plaka, you can head for the shopping bazaar in the city. The bazaar in Athinas Eolou and have a little 'tour, but not excessively. With a Middle Easte feel, you can sit and drink tea with local shop owners, while their assets Hock. From there, the city is wide open. If you dare, take a taxi and the driver that you want to see the real city. It will be the race of your life.

Vietnam Ho Chi Minh City

Vietnam Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam is a country marked by war and its prospects are yet to forgive and to the front? Research. The people believe that the last century? S occupations, battles and political influences have enriched the nation. Washed ashore above the Mekong Delta, about 40 km north of the South China Sea, Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon, is a city on the rise, a boom? City, usually the dollar is absolute. There is evidence of their war? To past. Its history has been resilient, effervescent tablets, with the initiative and with the roaring trade. The center of Ho Chi Minh is compact and ideal for walking around. It's restaurants, hotels and glitzy bars without blemish in the midst of the colonial palaces and venerable pagodas. There are many interesting places to visit, including the markets, the Cathedral, the river? Harbor, the Presidential Palace (perfectly preserved some reason!) And the park nearby, which is also a museum of history and culture of Vietnam and a small zoo. Ho Chi Minh City began as a fishing village known as Prei Nokor and during the Angkor period (15th century) and flourished as entrpot want to craft in the Mekong River cambodian. Cargo ships still to this day with rice barges jostle and fragile Sampan (an oriental with a boat sailing or rowing), while the porters sweat the moisture load in the boat. During the 18th Century, the Khmer were expelled today, Prei Nokor Saigon was renamed and became a temporary capital from 1772 to 1802, when Emperor Gia Long used as a regional administrative center. The French seized Saigon in 1861 and has an extensive program of public works with the construction of roads and drainage Marsh Land. The war against the French lasted thirty years after Saigon was the capital of the Republic of South Vietnam. American troops withdrew in 1973 and two years later, Saigon was renamed Ho Chi Minh City. This is a port, the steam is hot and searlingly stilvoll. The streets are full of fantasy Ein? From boutiques, designer shops and cafes, where it can be used for the local population in an informal context. Dong Khoi and Le Thanh Ton streets are favorites for elegant silk dress, hand embroidered scarves and lacquerware. (Many stores will be a service to the organization of a shipping container house purchases) In many respects, Ho Chi Minh City is much more cosmopolitan and hedonistic capital of Hanoi. Ho Chi Minh is also full to bursting point with people, for the progress hasn? T in the food, shelter and employment, so begging, theft and prostitution are very testing. Petty crimes, unfortunately, has in recent years so we must be careful when walking on the streets or while traveling by bicycle or motorcycle, especially after dark and around tourist premises. Get Intimate with Asia Travel in Korea

Get Intimate with Asia Travel in Korea South Korea is one of the smallest countries in Asia, with a size comparable to that state of Indiana. Which is not in the size makes for abundant culture, turbulent history, exquisite cuisine and a generous and welcoming society. Un po 'background before the trip to Korea The Korean peninsula has been literally and figuratively stuck between a rock and a hard place, namely Japan and China, for most of its existence. The region was prosperous under the three kingdoms of Goguryeo, Baekje and Silla during the first four centuries AD, the Mongols attacked the land and built an empire. The 16th Century led to the end of the Mongol Empire and the beginning of a great game of tug of war between China and Japan on the strategic land mass. After World War II, Korea, finally freed from Japan, the Soviet Union with the administration of the North and the United States to the south. And 'the highest point of the African continent. While there are mountains, part of Mount Everest, for example. But Kili, as it is commonly known, is the highest freestanding mountain in the world. Although historians have discredited the myth that refused to die, and there is still a source of amusement for many. Ready for the truth stand in the way, some anti-colonial historians fume with indignation, named as the borders of East Africa were arbitrarily decided in the capitals of the imperial power. For most people in the west, Kilimanjaro has long been associated with Eest Hemingway in 1936 his story? The snow of Kilimanjaro?. In 1952, Hollywood, fascinated by the magic of Kili the book evokes, in a film starring Gregory Peck and Ava Gardner in the leading roles. Kilimanjaro is young as far as mountains go, geologists, and can be used only 750,000 years. The mountain is composed of three dormant volcanoes-Kibo (19,340 feet), Shira (13,000 feet) and Mawenzi (16,896 feet). Belcher Kibo occasionally some steam and sulfur. The highest point on Kibo is Uhuru Peak, where you can see some awesome glaciers and fantastic views of the country. Many people leaed in Europe, fought hard, that a mountain of snow can be found at the equator, when the German missionary Johann Rebmann reported in 1849. Looking at the mountains, where Artic to tropical conditions. There are five different climate zones, each zone, at about 3300 meters. The areas are the lower slopes, then forest, then moorland, alpine desert and the summit. The slopes are cultivated and prosperous agriculture. After teaching a lesson in humility, for the second attempt resulted in an alpine and a local guide. Meyer, called the summit after the Kaiser Wilhelm II, but has been revised for years later, Uhuru or freedom in Swahili. Since the days of Meyer, the icecap is soon, and scientists fear that disappear in 20 to 50 years. So hurry and climb Kili, but there is still such a beautiful sight. Today, few climbers use the difficult path experienced by Meyer. The climb normally takes five to six days and consists of four to five nights in comfortable cabins. The Marangu route, the way it was in 1909 is the simplest and most popular and is used by over 90% of the climbers. Expert climbers prefer scenic and difficult Machame route. Climbers are not without a sense of humor, and refer to Marangu as Coca-Cola route, Machame route and whiskey. Other routes are Shira, Mweka and Umbwe. Shira is a scenic route through the Shira Plateau, which is reached by four vehicles. The route offers fantastic views of the Rift Valley and Mount Meru. With Mweka, reach the summit and back to square one in 4 days. But, as you might suspect, is very steep and is not easy. The course is also Umbwe steep and fast, and take only three days after the top and bottom. The route is spectacular, but it is for adaptation and experienced mountaineers, and it is no accident. In addition, there are technical, such as the weste breach and Lemosho lines. Regardless of the path chosen, all the halls Kili Marangu Gate. This is where your permit and pay admission. The typical Marangu route climb, spend four nights on the mountain. The route is clearly the right of the summit. You start by trekking through the forest area Mandara Hut (9,000 m) for the first night. Continue with the mud, stop for a second night in Horombo Hut (12,450 ft). Then through the alpine desert, the third night can be found at Kibo Hut (15,450 ft). But really can not sleep, as you would for the summit shortly after midnight. Then go back to the chalet for your Horombo last night after a hike of over 77 km. If you want more time to acclimatise to high, you can use the double-hatting Horombo. On the Machame route, you spend a night in mountain. You night at Machame Hut, Shira Hut and Barranco Hut. It connects to the path and continue to Mweka Hut Barafu. After the fight against the summit, to get out last night at Mweka Hut. The next day, then other mortals at the base of the mountain. It is recommended that the path that best suits your experience. Most want to reach Uhuru Peak - the highest point on Kibo, and indeed all Kili. Others are satisfied Gillman? S Point, the tip slightly below Kibo. But Mawenzi, actually lower than the peak of Kibo, is jagged and requires mountaineering experience. Many climbers find scaling Kili, whatever height that reaches a very rewarding experience. But do not be disappointed, even if they do not reach summit.Different estimates suggest that only 15-30% of the climbers up. Mexico beaches of Cabo San Lucas and Acapulco

Mexico beaches of Cabo San Lucas and Acapulco Mexico beaches come in all shapes and sizes. Two of the most famous are Cabo San Lucas and Acapulco. Acapulco you? Re probably already familiar with Acapulco if you ever watched the Wild World of Sports on ABC. Acapulco has been shown in many cases the position of those sketchy cliff diving competitions. You know where the crazy man jumped a few hundred meters in a pool of water between the rocks. Fortunately, is not it? T cliff dive to enjoy Acapulco. Acapulco is located between the mountains and protruding from a beautiful bay. The place is visually impressive and the beaches are very beautiful. However, there is a potential disadvantage of Acapulco. The city is the tourist in a big way. You are not? T to find authentic Mexican culture in the lead unless you hills. Instead, you will be bombed, which is the sale of human beings in general and catering to all major tourist dollar. Some people love Acapulco, but there are better places in Mexico, my opinion. Cabo San Lucas How times change. Cabo San Lucas is a sleepy beach town on the tip of Baja Califoia. The airport for a single, large Cabana. For better or worse, the days are over. Cabo San Lucas is quickly becoming a holiday for Mexico. Rock star Sammy Hagar, own bars and sing songs on the spot. The marinas have some impressive and expensive boats. Previously bare mountains are now covered by large and impressive homes. Indeed, there are even traffic jams! However, there is a reason all this is happening. Cabo San Lucas is just a first go on vacation. The sun shines all day, and there are activities galore. You can see deep fishing, canoeing, surfing or just the bread on the beach. Cafes and bars populate the beaches, but not? T is the feeling of running in Acapulco. For nightlife, Cabo San Lucas as possible? T be beat with legendary bars and restaurants. If you? King? Forced? go on vacation in Mexico, and Acapulco or Cabo San Lucas is a good place. All, all, I prefer Cabo, but to each his own.

I can only image I have of the air, I was investigating better brands of Russian vodka. In addition, I hadn? T have a shower for three days. Things quickly deteriorated. Awaiting Grae, a fellow American on the train platform and me were our hosts Natasha, Oleg, Dima and others. They were formally wear. They do not? T odor. Cambodian Taxi Chaos one piece of a radiator and a MacGyver Moment

Cambodian Taxi Chaos one piece of a radiator and a MacGyver Moment The roads in Cambodia are vicious, angry slabs of asphalt filled with holes that qualify as valleys in some countries. Fortunately, I had made traveling from Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh. Or so I thought. Taxi Cambodia after spending two weeks relaxing on the beach in the city of Sihanoukville, I was bored and so all three traveling with me. The time has come to head at the alleged chaos of Phnom Penh and, finally, Angkor Wat. Despite the legendary reputation of Cambodian roads, the owner of the shelter told us the way to Phnom Penh was smooth as glass. For twenty dollars, a taxi to reach all four of us around the city without incident. Around noon, two Australians, an Englishman and crammed into a Toyota Camry with our backpacks and miscellaneous junk. Our driver was a nice guy, always smiling. We had a communication problem, because we speak two words of English and speaks only English. The road, however, as has been fixed as promised we congratulated ourselves on our luck. About an hour, passing through the peaceful countryside of Cambodia. It 'hard to imagine the chaos that must have occurred when the Khmer Rouge was in power. Really? Not much to see beyond the occasional village. About halfway through the trip, the absence of large cities has become a source of conce. In the proverbial middle of nowhere, our driver pulled to the side of the road and tu off the machine. Because I could? Do not verbally communicate, much finger pointing was undertaken. We lost? Want more money? He was about to strike? What the hell was happening? Finally, foreign idiots were able to decipher that the car overheats. Why not think of complete idiots, let me remind you that the temperature was measured? I do not work. However, our pilot appeared to be the bell and our safe jouey came to an end cracking. Discharge of steam from half-inch crack next to the radiator crap. Road site assistance seemed an iffy prospect in central Cambodia. I mean, it could be? It does not actually call your auto insurance company. Me:? Hello. My machine is not working. Operator:? Ok, we send someone out. Where are you? Me:? Um, somewhere in the middle of Cambodia. Operator: ????[ hysterical laughter]? Click. The driver looked at us. We saw in him. At the same time, everyone began to laugh. What else can I do? We were in the middle of nowhere, the radiator was shot and 60 miles or so in Phnom Penh. Looking back, I can tell you that cambodian taxi drivers are a committed and creative group. We sat on the side of the road, contemplating the fact that they were about to have a more authentic experience cambodian so none of us had expected. Mysteriously, our driver had gone into the brush on the side of the road. After a few minutes, retued with a sheet of dark green and a big smile. Putting MacGyver to shame, were reviewed by the crack in the radiator using only the leaves and tubes of superglue. That all have retued, as requested by superglue to the boiling hot radiator, but nothing has happened in flames. After an adequate amount of time for drying / praying, all you need is water. Although certainly not a car expert, I do know pouring cold water on the radiator of an overheating engine is a bad idea. MacGyver, error? our driver, no? Not bat an eye, despite our extensive arm waving. With a big smile, entered the water in the radiator as we saw with horror. The only question is what would happen in the first place, the revision of the blade breaking or seizing an engine? Well you can imagine how it was discovered. Not only what we do in Phnom Penh, after the radiator had leaed two other leaf patches on the bottom. The road has been fixed, but my nerves are still recovering. In one way or another, is the way to Cambodia. At least I have enough ammunition to mock MacGyver fans.
